Modern Mission Project

The original home is a modest bungalow.

The house was built in 1942 in Mission Beach, then moved to its final location in 1962.

A very dated kitchen - notice the green oven?

This view is from the living room, through the house and into the backyard.

In only a few short days the house is reduced to it bare frame.

One of the prized trees is a beautiful mature avocado.

Preparation for the new foundation stem wall begins.

The remaining walls are secured and stabilized.

The house has been completely gutted and only 55% of the walls remain.

The view from the back of the property.

The site is being prepared for new foundations, landscaping and house.

Progress Part III

The first layer of stucco looks good, also known as the "scratch coat"

lots of scaffolding surrounds the house making it easier for the stucco to be applied
Francisco and Jesus installing the soffit (also known as ceiling flooring)
The master bedroom is currently the workstation for the tile installer

The kitchen is coming together nicely, drywall is up and windows are installed

The master bath is under construction
